Northeast Document Conservation Center - Free Resources

The NEDCC is the first independent conservation laboratory in the nation to specialize exclusively in treating collections made of paper or parchment, such as works of art, photographs, books, documents. maps, and manuscripts. The Center offers conservation treatment, digital imaging, and audio preservation services, as well as preservation training, assessments and consultations, and disaster advice on collections. The Center offers many free resources and services and services that help support the preservation efforts of cultural heritage institutions as well as private and family collectors.

National Archives - Preservation

The National Archives provides expert, yet practical advice on preserving a variety of materials, photographs, negatives, and film, paper and parchment, books and scrapbooks, digital and electronic media and audio and video tapes and motion pictures.
